Q1: What is SEL Online?

A: SEL Online is a free, self-paced Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program provided by Hooporia Institute Inc. for Title I schools in Puerto Rico.

Q2: Who can participate?

A: Only Title I schools in Puerto Rico are eligible. Families and individuals cannot sign up independently.

Q3: Is the program really free?

A: Yes! Thanks to donor support, all SEL Online access is 100% free to Title I schools.

Q4: Is SEL Online a nonprofit organization?

A: Yes. Hooporia Institute Inc. is a 508(c)(1)(A) nonprofit, and all donations are tax-deductible.

Q5: What does the program include?

A: The program features 10 self-paced SEL modules with short quizzes and a completion certificate.

Q6: Is the program online or in-person?

A: SEL Online is 100% digital and accessible on computers, tablets, and phones.

Q7: Is the program in English or Spanish?

A: The program is available in both English and Spanish (Puerto Rico).

Q8: What grade levels is this for?

A: SEL Online is best for middle and high school students (Grades 6–12).

Q9: What topics are covered?

A: The program builds confidence, emotional awareness, self-motivation, and personal growth.

Q10: What’s the format like?

A: Each module includes a motivating message, short activity screens, and a quiz.

Q11: How do students access the program?

A: Schools receive a custom student login link with full access for one school year.

Q12: Can schools see progress?

A: Yes. Progress tracking and reporting is available for all schools.

Q13: How do we sign up our school?

A: Fill out the quick application form on our website, and we’ll follow up with onboarding instructions.

Q14: Who created SEL Online?

A: The program was developed by Hooporia Institute Inc. to meet the SEL needs of underserved youth in Puerto Rico.

Q15: Are donations required to participate?

A: No. Schools never pay to access the program. Public donations help keep it free.

Q16: Are certificates included?

A: Yes. Every student who completes the program receives a digital completion certificate.

Q17: Is technical support available?

A: Yes. Our team provides full onboarding and support for participating schools.

Q18: Can we preview the program before committing?

A: Yes. A free preview module is available on our website.

Q19: Does the program include quizzes?

A: Yes. Each module includes short quizzes with immediate feedback.

Q20: How long does it take to complete?

A: Most students finish in 6–10 weeks, depending on pace.

Q21: Can schools track progress?

A: Yes. Schools receive updates and can request completion summaries.

Q22: Is this program available outside of Puerto Rico?

A: No. It is currently limited to Title I schools in Puerto Rico.
