Hooporia Institute Inc. is a 508(c)(1)(A) tax-exempt nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives in underserved Puerto Rican communities. Our flagship program, BOS The Inner Game™, delivers proven social-emotional learning at no cost to Title I schools. We partner with educators, families, and donors to foster growth and opportunity for thousands of students islandwide.
The Challenge
Over 50% of Puerto Rico’s students attend Title I schools facing significant resource shortages. Many of these schools lack access to quality social-emotional learning (SEL) programs, which are critical for developing resilience, focus, and academic success. Without these essential skills, students struggle to overcome challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
Our Solution
BOS The Inner Game™ is a free, evidence-based SEL program specifically designed for Title I schools in Puerto Rico. Our program helps students build key skills such as resilience, confidence, teamwork, and focus. These skills have been proven to improve academic performance and prepare students for lifelong success.
